Features (Finger Splint 3-2-060)
The body uses soft ActivDistance II foam to achieve stable support while remaining comfortable against the hand.
The inner lining is cotton and described as antibacterial, breathable and sweat-reducing for everyday wear.
The outer surface offers hook-and-loop adjustability to fine-tune the fit across different hand shapes.
A mouldable aluminium stay supports immobilisation across the interphalangeal and metacarpophalangeal joints for each finger individually, excluding the thumb.
It provides dorsal & palmar immobilisation, with a fingertip pocket and a wide strap for more controlled stabilisation.
A wrist velcro strap and an additional palm wrap strap are included, with the palm strap being removable based on a clinician’s recommendation.
The design is ambidextrous for left or right hand use.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How is this different from a small fingertip splint?
The 3-2-060 is designed to support not only the fingertip area but also the interphalangeal and metacarpophalangeal joints, using a mouldable aluminium stay and a support structure that anchors around the wrist & palm. This makes it a better fit when broader finger stabilisation is required (thumb excluded).
What does dorsal & palmar immobilisation change in daily use?
Support on both sides can help maintain a more stable finger position and reduce unwanted bending/straightening. Final positioning should always prioritise comfort and follow professional guidance.
How do I choose the size and adjust it safely?
Select by wrist circumference (Medium 13–17 cm, Large 17–21 cm). After fitting, check for strong pressure, numbness, or colour change in the fingers. If needed, the palm strap can be removed or adjusted to balance stability without overtightening.
