Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

When should I choose CICAPLAIE STERILE?

It is suitable as a primary dressing for postoperative incisions, minor cuts, abrasions and sutured wounds where absorbency and low adhesion are required. Size selection and change frequency should be directed by a healthcare professional.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

The perimeter adhesive is low-allergen to help reduce the risk of irritation on intact skin. If you have known sensitivity to adhesives, consult a healthcare professional.

Does the skin breathe under the dressing?

The backing is breathable and allows moisture vapour transmission to help limit moisture build-up beneath the dressing.

Can I cut the dressing to fit?

It is recommended to select an appropriate size from the available range to avoid compromising the perimeter adhesion and the integrity of the dressing.

Can I get it wet during a short shower?

The backing is moisture-resistant for everyday use; however, prolonged immersion is not advised. Follow the wound-care instructions you have been given.
